I recently renegotiated my plan with Verizon FiOS to $40/month for 200 Mbps. This is a speed test while chilling in my bed which is basically r ight above the router 1 floor below.

I was getting the promised speed in 2018 after I went through hell to ‘upgrade’ my equipment and reprovision. It’s not like this is a new neighborhood with lots of people  being added, but I'd guess that there are more people streaming than ever before.

I wonder what the “average ratio” of what people are actually getting this month is to the advertised speed.

My 100M is remarkably slow this month too... but at this point I’m surprised Netflix hasn’t totally broken the internet.

Ouch man!  Comcast charges a fortune here, but at least I'm pulling 680 mbps off our gig speed while on wifi and faster still while wired.

Back when they were Time Warner we had that problem constantly. I recently switched back to Spectrum from AT&T and I’ve only had one speed test come back under 100 Mbps since (it was 71 Mbps) . Most of them come back in the 108-112 Mbps range, which I’m happy with.

I think part of it may have been that back then we were running on a 10-year-old router that my parents didn’t really have the money to replace. This time around I bought a Google Nest router and I've had none of the issues we had then.

I have spectrum and I pay 45 for 200 mbps. And that's coming from att where I was paying 60 for like 5 mbps. I have as of recently with spectrum to reboot my modem every couple of days but I attribute that to to just so many people online. And bandwidth limiting. But I haven't seen anything below 250 ever, its awesome!
